We are lookin for Project Manager for Nizhniy Novgorod Plant constuction. Our Client is the leading construction materials producer. Successful candidate will report directly to Project Manager, located in London. Job Summary: During the pre-project stage; Assist with coordination and management of pre-construction activities: Stage P design, permitting, technical conditions, budget preparation, etc. Assist with pre qualification and tender selection of key sub contractors. During the main project stage; Coordinate & manage day to day site activity at the plant site during the site establishment, construction and plant start up phases. Ensure all construction and process engineering activities are fully integrated. Deputise for the PM during his absence from site, with particular focus on maintaining very high safety standards. Key Position Requirements: Ensure all day to day site activities are managed in a safe, controlled and structured manner. Provide interface point and ensure full integration between site construction activities and process engineering activities. Deputise for the project manager during his absence from site. Assist in planning and programming of critical tasks, including construction, equipment deliveries and installations. Provide a lead role for the site team of 4-5 project engineering staff. Assist the project manager in budgetary and program control. Assist the PM in developing & maintaining very high standards of site safety, in conjunction with the Construction Management team and/or General Contractor. Assist in liaison with local regulatory bodies and inspectors, including documentation (construction permitting, RTN compliance, etc). Assist non Russian speaking project staff and process equipment vendors with coordination of design, construction, installation & plant start up. Assist and guide the process engineering team (EU based) in conformance to Russian standards. Assist the project manager in recruitment of local project team members. Assist the project manager in presentation and reporting of project status to senior management team. Qualifications & Background: Fluency in English language (written & oral). Engineering qualification & background, preferably in construction and/or structural sector associated with large continuous process plants. Experience of obtaining technical conditions associated with plant site connections: gas electricity, road & rail. Experience of project coordination, management & planning, including document & change control. Possible experience of importation of process equipment into Russia and/or Nizhniy Novgorod region. Fully conversant & PC literate with MS Office type software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc). Familiar with project engineering type software packages (MS Project planning software, AutoCAD drafting software, etc). Key Skill Sets; Strong focus on safe working practices, willing to challenge any unsafe activity. Professional manner & appearance, with good communication skills across multi discipline & multi national teams. Able to interpret, understand and check complex engineering drawings & specifications. Strong character, able to cope under pressure of multiple tasks & deadlines. Tenacious, able to see a problem through until successfully resolved. Able to work at the detail level but with consideration of the wider, overall project perspectives. Willing to challenge accepted practices to improve project performance on safety, cost & program. Able to identify, report and mitigate potential risks to the short and long term project objectives. Able to work as an integral part of a small project team, while providing leadership and direction to the local project team as required. Comfortable with a practical, hands on type approach to problem resolution. Able to think clearly and objectively to clear roadblocks to project progress. |
