In this position, you will be defining test strategy, develop test
plans, test cases and test tools. Validate various products from
Intel's Software and Services Group (SSG), run tests, analyze
fails, report bugs, gather test and validation metrics. You will be
defining software testing strategies, design and implement test
plans, test suites and test tools. You will be responsible for
performing testing for various standalone and bundled software
products from Intel's Software and Services Group (SSG). You will
work closely with various international teams and stakeholders,
such as development, documentation, release management, marketing,
technical support, and customers. Your responsibilities will
include but not be limited to:
- Learning new product functionality of SSG software products,
exploring appropriate effective test approaches and writing test
cases to increase feature coverage
- Running test cases, analyzing fails, reporting bugs
- Gathering and analyzing test metrics and developing improvement
plans
- Improving test efficiency through automation of test execution
Ensuring product quality to minimize escapes to customers
- Ensuring release timeliness by carefully scheduling the test and
validation tasks
You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree (a Master of Science
degree is preferred) in Computer Science or a similar field with
more than two years experience in Software Testing or Quality
assurance. Additional qualifications include:
- Knowledge of C/C++
- Excellent testing, debugging, problem-solving and analytical
skills
- Excellent communication skills; proficient in English (verbal and
written) and Russian
- Good team worker
- Creativity and ability to work in a fast, multi-task
environment
- Strong planning and leadership skills
- Experience in developing test plans, test reports and test
metrics
- Experience in Linux platforms
- Experience in command-line (for example, Perl) and GUI test
automation
- Experience in commercial software development
The following qualifications would be added advantages:
- Experience in requirement management, good knowledge of product
life cycle
- Experience with compilers and debugging tools
