Support all departments in productivity attainment, quality standards, and conformance to policies and procedures. This position requires a positive, “can-do” attitude, excellent human management skills, decisiveness, and demonstrated commitment to continual improvement. This position requires a conscious improvement within the Magna Cultural framework in the following directions: Job security: Ensure that short and long term goals are established and met for the Division in the areas of, but not limited to operating and capital budgets, manpower planning, CIP and cost reduction plans, Quality, Safety, Environmental and Employee satisfaction and motivation. Ensure that a succession program is implemented and maintained. Ensure that job counseling and performance feedback is being appropriately provided, and at intervals that are sufficient to meet the needs of all Team Members. Create new jobs through growth and secure new contracts. Ensure that defined rules of conduct and communications are created and clearly communicated. Provide an Employee Assistant Program for the use of the Division’s Employees and their immediate family. Ensure adherence to all government legislative requirements. Safe and healthful workplace: Responsible to ensure the division’s procedures regarding Health and Safety rules and regulations. Establish goals/ targets for Safety and ensure that they are being met. Ensure that the Division is clean, tidy and organized. Responsible to ensure that training and work instructions are provided and conducted by qualified personnel in the areas of, but not limited to Health & Safety, emergency response, first aid and job specific. Ensure that the all environmental legislation and environmental protocol as prescribed by the Environmental Management System (EMS) is being adhered to. Conduct regular dialog sessions or small group meetings with the Team Members and make sure that their concerns are followed up on in a timely fashion. Provide reports / information to the Goup / Executive Vice President / President as required or needed    Fair treatment: Ensure policies and procedures are created objectively, reviewed, approved and implemented. Ensure that Progressive Discipline is being applied with the intention of being corrective and handled on a fair, consistent basis without favoritism. Provide Leadership without discrimination and personal bias, on any prohibited grounds as outlined in applicable Human Rights legislation. Perform other duties as required. Requirements: High Education Minimum of 10+ years of progressively more responsible supervisory / managerial and leadership experience in high volume automotive (stamping/assembly) manufacturing operation A demonstrated working knowledge of Business and Financial matters required at a Divisional level Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, coaching, mentoring, interpersonal, problem solving, motivational and negotiating skills. Honest with high integrity Excellent human management skills Exceptional technical skills (example: stamping, welding, assembly, painting) MS Office excellent English –advanced Readiness for business trips
