Project Description The position implies participation in numerous pre-sale and actual projects on their early stage in embedded, system level, telecom and mobile areas. The main goal of this involvement is to prepare the proposal or setup processes in the new project. Responsibilities: The main responsibility is acting as a pre-sale manager during proposal preparation and acting as startup project manager on early project stage. Strong embedded development background is implied. Understanding of the embedded technologies in general and ability to estimate technology risks as well as roughly estimate the tasks is required. The main responsibilities will be as follows: Pre-sale activities: requirements clarification, risk identification and estimation, planning, creating the document. Starting up new projects: building the team, setting up processes, day-by-day management. Communications with potential and actual clients, communication management, status reporting, issues resolving. Job Requirements Experience (years): From 2 years as a Team Leader or Project Manager (from 3+ year background as Software Engineer) Technical Skills: Strong embedded background: Knowledge of modern processor architectures: ARM, PowerPC, x86, etc. Knowledge of modern OSes and RTOSes: Linux, Windows, QNX, VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, etc. Knowledge of hardware devices and experience of creating drivers and BSP/CSP/PSP. Knowledge of the kernel internals and the main kernel subsystems and user-space system software. Any other embedded experience. Knowledge of process methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, RUP, CMMI, etc.) A track of successfully executed projects. Experienced in pre-sale activities Good spoken and written English is a must. |
